A Queer Discipline of Living

Consensual power exchange in my community: rope, suspension, mummification.

Outdoor rope suspension on a dock. A figure, F, is inverted in a rope harness and a cloth wrapped around their face. The rigger, G, adjusts the ties, with green trees and lake behind.

Black and white close-up of feet and legs bound with intricate rope knots, tattooed ankle visible

Black and white rope study of a figure in an arched position with rope cinching the body, deep shadows and soft highlights.

Intentionally blurred color portrait of Tate wearing a harness seated against blinds in cool blue tones.

Color portrait of a figure in leather harness and mask reclining against dark fur, dappled sunlight through a window

Grainy film picture with lots of imperfections, water spots, black and white. Lauren stands with her booted foot on J's head and they are wrapped in plastic wrap and on their knees, with forehead on the cement ground.

Color intimate body study of a figure lying on dark fur, warm tones with venetian blinds behind. Her backside is deeply bruised from an impact play.

Queers in a playparty themed around sports - jock straps, singlets - the image has two queers on all fours in jocks facing a mirror lining up for a spanking line, their asses red from impact.

Queer Portraits And Body Studies

Portraits of queer and trans people in my community, made together.

Mo sits in a meadow of tall grass and purple ironweed, facing the camera in a camo cap, jockstrap, and boots, rope tied around both thighs. Tattooed chest and arms, evening light. Shot on 120 film.

Mo stands waist-deep in ironweed and grass at dusk, hand raised to his mouth, a sprig of goldenrod tucked into the waistband of a white jockstrap. Tattooed torso, camo cap, trees behind. Shot on 120 film.

Portrait of a tattooed trans man, E, sitting against a large tree trunk, framed by green leaves and a single yellow wildflower. This was his T-anniversary.

Environmental portrait in a bathroom interior during a remodel. Ryan sits on the floor with a gas mask around her neck, with work boots and gloves sitting in the rubble in warm muted tones. The remodel stands in for grief after a relationship: removing the old and preparing for the new.

Hypermobile. Foot inside her own body. Rose tattoo on the top of her foot.

Close-up of a perspective underneath of J from behind as they stand in an outdoor shower - close to their body covered in water droplets with tattooed arms visible, warm saturated color. Queer and Dyke tattooed on their rear thigh.
